The current strategy for EWADE is in full swing. It spans from 2023 to 2027. The strategy explicitly addresses the business continuity of the organization in embedding the commercialization of the EWADE. The aim is to foster sustainability especially now that most basins in the country are nearing full development with the elaborate MNWAP project. It is beyond postulation that there will be few large water infrastructure development projects post the gigantic MNWAP project currently eventuating in Southern Eswatini. The EWADE relies on the Government's subvention, a risk observed by LCC Capital (2022).
The underpinnings of the strategy are hence financial sustainability and business continuity anchored on precision agriculture, ecotourism, renewable energy, and consultancy services. This aligns with the EWADE overall strategy (2022-2027) which seeks to increase job opportunities and retain staff while averting the reliance on government subvention. The challenge at hand entails sharpening the axe for staff so as to compete aggressively in the marketplace. On the other hand, scarce skills will be sourced for specific work for a specified period. The following details the vision, mission and strategic goals for the SWADE-Co.
